Kundalini Yoga is an ancient practice, with it first being mentioned in Upanishads (a collection of sacred Vedic writings) around 500 BC. The spirit body connection is the foundation of Kundalini Yoga. It can provide you with a deep physical and spiritual (creative potential) experience.

Kundalini Yoga was first taught by Yogi Bhajan in the western world. It is a science of the mind and body that heals and uplifts us by activating energy centres throughout the body. Kundalini Yoga is also known as the Yoga of Awareness. Its focus is on physical strength and flexibility, energy rising, self-awareness and delivering an experience of your highest consciousness.

Kundalini energy is something we are born with. "Kundalini" is an ancient Sanskrit word that literally means "coiled snake". It is considered the energy of the soul that each individual has and it stays dormant at the base of the spine. With the practice of Kundalini Yoga this energy is awakened and manifested in the form of our higher creative potential.

“The primary objective [of Kundalini] is to awaken the full potential of human awareness in each individual; that is, recognize our awareness, refine that awareness, and expand that awareness to our unlimited Self. Clear any inner duality, create the power to deeply listen, cultivate inner stillness, and prosper and deliver excellence in all that we do.”

Practice is an effective technique that works quickly and deeply, bringing great benefits to our entire system. Kundalini Yoga is simply a tool on each individual's journey to personal discovery and helps us improve our quality of life. Kundalini Yoga works with rhythmic movements, powerful breathing, meditations and with mantras.

Each Kundalini session is designed specifically for one purpose: to heal, to increase your spine flexibility, to strengthen your immune system, to open your heart, to detox, to work on your liver, to open your Third Eye, etc. Kundalini Yoga benefits your entire system, because it works on all levels; mind, body and spirit.

With Kundalini you become more alert, sensitive, open-hearted, focussed, and your physical body rejuvenates. When you experience this energy you feel awakened, sensitive and aware of your full potential.

Some of the benefits:

  • Feel vigour, vitality, energy and clarity of mind to feel great.
  • Reduce stress and anxiety levels to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Increase your body flexibility for a long life.
  • Heal and rejuvenate your spine and nervous system to keep your youth and balance.
