In yogic theory Kundalini is a primal energy (shakti). Kundalini is a sleeping, potential force in the human organism. Kundalini awakening occurs through meditation, pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures), mudras (hand gestures), bandhas (body locks) and the chanting of mantras, collectively known as a 'Kriya'. Each class is different and each Kriya is designed to have a different positive effect on your being.

Carolina Arjan Hari is the founder of Kundalini Yoga Brisbane. Carolina is passionate about helping people awaken their creative energy for personal awakening and spiritual growth. Her journey has been transformative through Kundalini Yoga. Brooke Har Simran Kaur is passionate about helping people become a better version of themselves. A blend of Kundalini yoga, meditation and mantra to help mums regain strength and flexibility living a healthy and happy life whilst spending valuable time connecting with the women's community and introducing the children into yoga and meditation.

These classes are a healthy space for mums to immerse into the practice of kundalini yoga and meditation accompanied with their children. The child is welcome to stay with mum in class while mum does yoga. Mums are fully responsible for their children in class as classes are not children oriented, although a yoga mat can be provided for them. 

Motherhood is a busy time for mums in which you don't have many opportunities to provide a quality time for yourself. With these classes you'll find a space to reconnect and at the same time have the opportunity to introduce your child into yoga, meditation and mantra, without forgetting that the main focus is yourself.

We're flexible in terms of the rhythm of the class, noise, etc. as we understand that practicing with children can be different.

The class is a space for yourself to practice at your own pace, to play with your child, chant, do yoga, feed your baby, etc. There will be yoga music and you do not have to worry if the baby is loud. We'll have fun!

You'll feel great, relaxed and revitalised after nurturing your mind, body and soul with Kundalini Yoga. You also get the chance to connect with your children or baby in a friendly and healthy environment being part of a community of mums. 

All levels of experience including absolute beginners welcome. Classes are open to children all ages up to 7 years old.

The yoga studio is located upstairs and therefore would be best not to bring the pram. Please bring a blanket if you need for your baby and if you would like some toys to play with.

The Men’s Workshop with the technology of Kundalini Yoga is to assist men in gaining new inner direction and to create a safe place for men to explore their identity.

Let us identify the blocks that men can't talk about. These blocks are keeping you from achieving your potential as men. These blocks are our own. Only those who have developed themselves to live consciously can live without blocks and none of us can live totally consciously all the time. We have not been trained to do so.

Instead we have learned to be emotional. Emotional behavior and outbursts are very satisfying, and it is very, very difficult to replace them. We have been getting satisfaction from them since our childhood. Because of this we have but one intention in this human life: to continue to experience that emotional satisfaction.

We will learn the value of self-communication. Because you do not have this experience of yourself and you refuse to talk, the block remains. You refuse to talk and life pushes on; but practically, it is no life at all. Also, we will look at the blame game; and the judgement game we play. Learn about how the ego communicates with emotion can become self-destructive; and how your ego and your intelligence interact with each other to become successful. Also, the importance of balancing
the flow between these two poles.

The program is designed in assisting men to breakdown their life’s challenges. This event will support you to break isolation and connect more fully to your identity as a man. In doing so you will become more available to your families, loved ones and communities, and more in touch with your purpose. You will become a better, partner, lover, father, friend and man.


You will be introduced to a basic introduction to the technology of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Out of all the yoga styles, Kundalini Yoga is the most man-friendly. Kundalini Yoga attracts rational-minded men; with goal-oriented kriyas that always result in a clearly described effect. Men love physical exertion. They love to go-for- broke, they want to push the envelope. In this regard, Kundalini Yoga offers you something they can identify with, and yet something very different.  Also, there is no competition or comparison as is usual in the world of sports.

Being open for a new experience, Kundalini Yoga will improve your physical mobility, flexibility, and emotionally especially self-awareness and self- empowerment. Kundalini Yoga opens the heart and allows men to get in touch with themselves again Society needs now: men who open themselves more often, men who are authentic, men who admit their feelings and who can speak about what it is going on inside of them.

The workshop will end with a Men’s Wisdom Circle – sacred talking circle, where men drop into the silence, listen, and talk in ways and about issues that we normally don’t touch upon in our regular, daily lives.

This is a fully clothed, non-confrontational workshop, with no explicit sexual elements, although there will be sharing, dance, movement and touch exercises. Originally from the Netherlands, Jorrit has been practicing Indian and Tibetan Tantra for more than 17 years and is a Tantric Yoga teacher for Maha Siddha Yoga School, certified by Atman, the International Federation of Yoga and Meditation. Jorrit has access to a vast body of knowledge related to spirituality, meditation, yoga and Tantra that he can substantiate with his own direct experience – nearly 2 decades of rigorous daily practice. After a total of 4 years living at a tantric ashram in Denmark, Jorrit is happy to be back in Australia and share these amazing Tantric teachings with the community here.

The Open Day is offered to students who have an interest in having a real experience of the Level One Teacher Training. Previous experience with Kundalini yoga or other forms of yoga is not required. Beginners are welcome. 

The student will arrive to have dinner with the group, stay the night and join the Sadhana in the morning. After the yoga and meditation early morning practice, there will be breakfast where students, teachers and visitors will spend time together.

The Sadhana practice is an ancient Kundalini Yoga practice suitable for Kundalini yoga practitioners and new students who want to get deep into their practice. This practice is a fundamental part of the Level One Teacher Training. 

You'll practice Sadhana early in the morning before the sun rising. Sadhana will allow you to energise yourself from early hours of the day. You will practice 2.5 hours of Kundalini Yoga which includes a Kriya (set of exercises) and mantra meditation. Your body, mind and soul will be aligned for the rest of your day.



A 2.5 hour Sadhana Session with Japji meditation + Kundalini Yoga + Aquarian mantras. 



The Teachings of Ajai Alai Awakening International Kundalini Yoga School will give you a foundation of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. The AAA is a Kundalini Yoga School delivering awareness and community-building programs, with the intention to raise the consciousness of human beings to help them build a strong base of positive habits and live a healthier and happier life. The AAA School teaches in Asia, Europe and Australia, Sydney and now in Brisbane.

SATMUKH SINGH KHALSHA and SAT SARBAT KAUR are Founders of the Ajai Alai Awakening School of Kundalini Yoga. They have a wealth of knowledge and have been training teachers internationally for more than ten years. They are the lead AAA trainers in Asia, Europe and Australia.

Satmukh Singh is based in China and created the studio Yoga-Gaia. He is a certified Ashtanga and Kundalini Yoga teacher and travels internationally sharing the teachings of Yogi Bhajan.

Sat Sarbat Kaur is certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher ad Teacher Trainer. She has been teaching the Level 1 for 10 years in Austria, France and Australia.

- Yoga mat/ sheep skin.

- Yoga clothes, head cover if you'd like. White is preferred but if you don't have white just do your best and bring what you find comfortable. There will be some white yoga pants and head covers at the house for sale if you would like to treat yourself.

- Water bottle. Water is filtered and from the tank water. There will be bottled water available but you're welcome to bring yours.
